Action Dice

Action Dice project start in Russia 2018 this project has a vacation for 3 years and only 2025 it start again in Switzerland.
It is a traveling auction where works of art by different artists are auctioned off using dice. The project involves collecting contemporary art and working with this collection as a medium.
"By visiting artists' studios, we explore the connections between people within the art bubble in each city. We record audio, video, take photographs, and interviews, visit artists' favorite places together, and ask them to talk about their work - this is fragmented archive of the contemporary cultural environment.
In this project, we are interested in exploring the connections between cultural figures and creating new ways of interaction between people in this field.
We notice that the buying and selling of art is perceived by many people as a privileged and elitist practice, we are interested in creating new precedents in this area by organizing situations of the Art market differently.
Aleatory (risky) transactions , autonomous economic zones, communities and dynamic systems are the main themes of the project.
Collection.
Action Dice Project has collection aroud 300 international artists. Artists conceptualize this art collection not so much from the perspective of collectors as from the perspective of artists with a large archive of works and the stories surrounding them.
Computer Game.
Thus, in 2021, a computer game "Dicey" based on the Action Dice collection was released, raising the issue of loss and damage to works in collections, and the mechanisms for commercializing loss and damage in art collecting and art history in general. Action Dice project collected large photo, video, audio archive of artist live documentation in 2018-2022 all around the Russia.
